Orthodontic Assistant/Dental Hygienist
I have been an orthodontic Assistant with Insoft & Hurst Orthodontics since 1994. They supported my decision to further my dental career by attending and then graduating from dental hygiene school in 2000. I enjoyed working with Drs. Insoft & Hurst so much that I decided to do hygiene part-time in conjunction with orthodontics! I comfort and support our patients throughout the course of their treatment with braces or Invisalign® until they’ve achieved a new and beautiful smile. I love watching their personalities transform as they gain the confidence to smile proudly.
My husband, Paul, and I have one son, Jaxson, and a dog named Winslow. I love spending time with my family, biking, working out, and boating.
I started with Drs. Insoft and Hurst as an orthodontic assistant in 2005 with five years previous orthodontic experience. I love that I help the doctors create beautiful smiles that last a lifetime! It is wonderful to see our patients grow and gain confidence as their smiles improve. We are like one big, happy family. I truly love the people I work with. I love my job and the work we do.
I have two children, Destiny and Josh, who I spend most of my free time with. Destiny started college this past year at the University of Central Florida, and I couldn’t be more proud of her accomplishments! I also enjoy volunteering for the community, cooking, reading, and the “salt life”!
I very much enjoy assisting our doctors in the care of our patients. I consider myself to be a compassionate person and love helping our patients obtain their best possible smile. I am thrilled to work with such an excellent dental/orthodontic team with great, positive attitudes.
Gemma, my daughter, is the light of my life! I love being a mom. In my time away from work, I enjoy walks with Gem, boating, and exercising.
I have worked in the dental/orthodontic field for over ten years. I also have an extensive background in accounting which is extremely useful behind the scenes at Insoft & Hurst Orthodontics! I love the diversity of working in a field that is constantly changing! Although I don’t get to spend much time with patients, I am always making sure to do the best I can to assist with questions and issues regarding insurance filing. My job is a pleasure to do every day because the atmosphere here at Insoft & Hurst Orthodontics includes a lot of love and compassion for others.
I have a son, who is my world! We enjoy spending time together and with family and friends. We love to cook and do gardening in our free time!
